This is the Larrivee OM-40 Walnut Special Alpine Moon JCL Acoustic Guitar.
25.5" scale. 1.75" nut width. 15.5" lower bout. 4 3/8" max body depth.
.75"-.95" 1st to 12th fret neck depth.
The Larrivee OM-40 is the perfect embodiment of the artistry and craftsmanship and innovation in design that Larrivee brings to each of their hand-built instruments.
This beauty features a gorgeous limited Walnut back/sides and coveted Alpine Moon spruce top.
This gloss Alpine Moon spruce provides a tighter, punchier tone for fantastic focused mids.
The spruce is lovely and tight-grained; covered in a satin natural coat to allow the stunning blonde color to go untainted.
The satin-finished walnut is straight grained with beautiful graining and color.
Spruce on walnut is a greatmating of tonewoods and yields a full, complex voice with fully developed low end and articulate top.
The Scalloped Hybrid bracing system merges the strength, tonal balance, and clarity of Larrivee bracing, with the bass response, depth, and volume of a vintage dreadnought.
All the bindings are natural Canadian maple, and the top features a classic rope purfling, which is mirrored in the soundhole rosette.
The classic tortoiseshell pickguard perfectly compliments the traditional beauty of the OM-40.
The wonderful one-piece mahogany neck features a fretboard of slick African ebony adorned with diamond inlays.
The ebony bridge compliments the fingerboard perfectly.
And, to top it all off, this OM features the custom JCL logo inlay on the headstock.
