Advanced Axion Label 7-String Design
With a double cutaway body style shaped from nyatoh, this guitar may look familiar at first, but it has a unique twist. The Nitro Wizard-7, 5-piece panga panga/walnut neck is multi-scale. That means the 7th string has a 27" scale length, while the 1st string measures in at 25.5". Ibanez designed it that way to create equalized tension, for a more open tone which encourages sonic complexity.
High-End Appointments
Following this unique concept, the macassar ebony fretboard features 24 slanted frets, which are designed to accommodate a player's hand angles and enable fast playing. The frets are Sub Zero treated for a strength that can withstand all types of bends and wild playing. Designed for stability with the multi-scale length, Ibanez outfitted this guitar with a Mono-Rail bridge, which maintains flawless intonation and minimizes interference across strings. The RGD71ALMS also features Gotoh MG-T locking tuners for incredible tuning accuracy and speedy string changes.
Fishman Fluence Pickups
The RGD71ALMS Axion Label comes stock with dual Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. These pickups provide aggressive tone and powerful attack, without excess noise, so you can crank up the gain. The single volume knob is push/pull, engaging a Fishman Fluence voicing switch, which reduces the output and gives the pickup a more subdued tone.
