Heritage 535 25th Anniversary #119 signed label by builders in Kalamazoo 2011

Description

This guitar was designed in homage to the old Gibson 335's, specifically pre-1984. Heritage are hand built in the US, in Kalamazoo where the original Gibson factory was...  I got this in trade, and my buddy went to Nashville and played several of these side by side.  He said this one was just heads above the others, even though they were the same model exactly.  Sometimes a guitar just stands out in the crowd.  I'll post some more pics when I have time and a youtube video of this guitar if I can.  There is a nice two part video on youtube of this 25th Anniversary model.  Check it out in the meantime until I get the rest of the pics up.  Feel free to message with questions.
This 1953 Epiphone Broadway Regent is in nearly all original condition, although it has had a few modifications over its life which have been since reversed back to original condition.
Epiphone made very few example of the Broadway and exceedingly few in a natural finish. I have only been able to find a total of four examples, including this one.
The Broadway Regent is much more rare than the lower end Triumph Regent.  The Broadway Regent received superior appointments, including finer woods, gold hardware, and block mother of pearl inlays.  Not only that, check out the headstock inlay.  This is my personal favorite of the inlays used by Epiphone.  Also note that this is a very late example of an Epiphone with the truss rod adjustment at the heel, allowing for the headstock to have such a clean look with no need for a truss rod cover.  Most Epiphone guitars has been transitioned to the headstock adjustment by 1951.  According to the database at the NY Epiphone registry, this is actually the latest know example with the heel adjustable truss rod.
This example is a great playing instrument with a strong, bold, cutting sound, giving up nothing in tone or volume by having a cutaway, but having all of the full playability advantages of the higher registers thanks to that cutaway.
The guitar appears to have had the tuners swapped out a couple of times along the way, but has appropriate tuners for the guitar now on it.  The original Frequensator tailpiece has had the practically typical repair with a well reinforced brazing of the brass angle mount, and should not have any issues ever again.  The top has two small professionally filled holes where there appeared to be a top mounted pickup at one time, and there is a filled strap button hole in the heel of the neck.  There are scattered finish dings in the top, as pictured.  The pickguard is a newly added reproduction.  The binding shows some shrinkage, but all in all, is in excellent condition for an Epiphone of this age.  Lastly, concerning the condition, the spruce top had a crack on the treble side which was repaired by our master luthier, Darrell Guinn, so well that it cannot even be detected on visual inspection of the top, but should be noted, as we always try to provide absolute full disclosure of the condition of our guitars.
The case currently with the guitar is an near era correct case which is only in fair condition and was made for a larger 18 inch guitar.  While technically usable, I wouldn't recommend it for regular use.  I will likely be able to provide a sturdier case, should the new owner prefer.
