    Description

The Performance 3 is the culmination of years of designing, tweaking, and improving - but most importantly, listening to guitarists and their views on what a capo SHOULD do. Now, coupling our Unique Tension Control system with the ground-breaking ART string pad mechanism gives a near-perfect capo experience.
    Adaptive Radius Technology
The ART system within the top bar of G7th Performance 3 capos adapts to the true curvature over your strings and fretboard, exerting completely even pressure across all the strings - setting a new standard of in-tune, buzz-free use. It gives you the maximum tuning stability with the minimum possible tension in EVERY position, on ANY guitar neck.
    Unique Tension Control
By simply squeezing to attach and squeezing to release, the Performance 3 capo gives you complete and intuitive control over the pressure you place on your strings. Whether it's an acoustic or an electric, you can have confidence that you are in control and will keep your guitar in tune.
    Easy to use
Designed for one-handed use, in any sized hands. With a little practice it's nearly as quick to move between frets as a spring capo, but without the need for frequent retuning.
    Versatile
Stores easily behind the nut for quick and easy access, or on the headstock. Perfect for any steel six-string acoustic, electric or hybrid nylon string guitars.

This offering is for fifteen (15) PREMIUM Authentic Brand Capo Spikes for stringed instruments in new condition. These are not just bent nails. They are machined-steel spikes with a formed, oval head, long point and a square, serrated shaft making them ideal for use on stringed instruments like a Banjo as a 5th String Capo. These are longer than the Standard Authentic Spikes. They are also dimensionally consistent and have a more defined square shaft and treads to prevent the spike from spinning when properly installed in a tap hole. The top of the domed head is smooth, rounded. They are sharp and have machined treads down the side of the square shaft for a lasting, sure grip. They measure:  9.3mm (3/8”) long;  .8mm (.03” - 1/32”) square shaft;  2mm x 1.5mm ( 5/64” x 1/16”) flat, oval head;  .7mm (3/128”) right angle head overhang. A tap drill of .028” (#70) is recommended for installation.

INSTALLATION:  There are no instructions included with the order. Installation is fairly straightforward— drill a tap hole and tap in the spike. Though, you’re working with something very tiny on a precious fret board and all stringed instruments are not alike. It’s all about the tap hole. The neck composition will determine the difficulty level. A pin-prick followed by a tap hole should be made in the neck where you want a string capo'd, maybe at a very slight angle. A drill bit size of .028” / #70 is recommended. Put a mark on the drill bit with a marker to the desired depth. Drill the hole then gently tapped the spike in to the proper depth to hold the string down. If all you can find is a 1/32” drill bit for a tap hole
it may help to put some glue on the shaft for a solid grab. It's also recommended that the neck is held solidly while you do this and a small hand crank drill be used. Be careful if you use a Dremel type drill
. It can do some quick damage. Be sure the head is pointed in the right direction before you tap it in. The shaft, being very square, wont turn once it’s installed. Good Luck !
