MCBRIDE MUSIC & PAWN1960s Harmony H165 Acoustic Guitar
Description:
1960s Harmony H165 Acoustic Guitar, Good condition. Moderate cosmetic wear from previous use, including lots of scratches/scuffs to body, slight chip to truss rod cover, pickguard very slightly lifting. Appears to have been repaired at some point, likely had the back reglued, several cleats have been added on top of the kerfed lining in several spots inside the body. Tuner bushings rather loose, high E string bushing is missing. Plays well across the whole neck, sounds great. A fantastic, affordable vintage acoustic guitar. Excellent for getting that classic small body sound. UDX/PXX

This is a beautiful example of what Breedlove guitars used to be. The sound of this guitar is loud and warm. It’s like what an OM-28 would sound like with a cedar top. This has Kim Breedlove’s signature on the label, he’s listed as master builder, but I can’t say for sure whether he made this guitar or not. The cedar top is solid and beautiful. There is a crack at the treble side of the bridge, but it does not go through the wood. There is also a small ding on the top on upper bout. There are light scratches on the top and back, but it’s all finish scratches. The bridge has a truss rod, and according to the manual, it is set properly. The neck is very straight and solid. The ebony fretboard does show signs of wear, as do the frets. There is plenty of life left on both though. The battery bag is missing so I cannot say whether or not the electronics work. Original hard shell case is included.
